Pay Day

I just received my pay 2 days ago, and boy am I happy. I'm not happy because I got $480 richer, but actually because it showed that a month has passed. 3 more months to go!

I'm starting to hear more stories of people's attachment turning bad. I think I'd rather have an attachment start off bad, and get better, rather than start off great, and starts to deteriorate afterwards. Hang in there YS... Don't be so gullible and think that everyone is nice. Men (& Women) are selfish by nature.

When a human loses their compassion for another, they are nothing but beasts...




I read about that Youtube video in the newspapers today where there are 3 tourists that "bullied" the uncle that was operating the trishaw. I went to see the video earlier on, and it's disgusting to see how people react. Sure, the tourists were wrong to be laughing at the uncle that was 70 years old. But must you throw in their race and nationality when criticizing them? How would you feel if you were judged based on your nationality and race? If you were to visit a different country, would you want others to be judging you because you're a Singaporean? It's not doing Singapore any good when you decide to throw malicious comments based on nationality and race.




I plan on having chalet after our attachment ends? Who's up for it? Please say "Aye" if you are up for it and "Nay" if you're against it.

Certain people are starting to piss me off... Taking a small matter and blowing it to huge proportions as if it was a life and death situation. Just get over it. Stop trying to always be the center of attention.

Today was my brother's Birthday (Happy Birthday btw...) and we went to the East Coast Seafood center for dinner. We ordered a bunch of stuff and boy was I full after that meal. There was like:

Chilli Crabs
Black Pepper Crabs
BBQ Fish
Scallop wrapped in Yam
Sambal Kankong
Cereal Prawns
Baby Squid

Followed by Yam pudding with Ginko Nuts. (Oh Nee, or Or Ni - or mix and match those up)

5 of us total. Including me. How can we not be full???

I teared up not too long ago... Was watching this Taiwanese news and they showed a fire in a person's house. Then they went on to explain that the lady living in that house owns up to 80 something dogs...

Some of the dogs were trapped in the fire.

As if that wasn't bad enough, they went on the explain that the shrieks and cries of the dogs could be heard from the ground level.

I started feeling sad already...

Then they decided to stop talking and let us listen to the noise of the video. The dogs shrieks and cries were very audible... I teared up immediately...

I have a Medical Appointment tomrrow for my lungs at CGH. That means, no work tmr! Hope i remember to get a letter from the doctor... Wait i get charged for AWOL. considered as absent for 3 days leh!

I can only take a max of 8 days MC. 3 days absent will devastate the number of MC days i'm allowed to take lah!

This is the first time in the whole 4 weeks that I had time to stare at the computer and think of what to do. I completed like most of my work in the first 3 days, working my ass off from 8:30 to 5:55 as I thought that I would not have enough time to complete all the stuff. So last Sunday I went out for dinner with my family. We were on our way home from dinner and stopped at the traffic light of Bedok North Road and Bedok Reservoir Road.

I was channel hopping on the radio. Switching between 93.3, 98.7 and 98.0. It was 8:20 and I was thinking: "Man, when I get home, I can sleep early so that I would not be tired for work tomorrow..."

Next thing I knew...


*Rattle*

*Booom*


I flew forward a little bit, had one arm on the drivers seat, and the other on the cupholder that was in the center. I didn't move at all for like 5 seconds, and I couldn't even think of words to say. My mind was just blank.

Turns out, this Blue Honda hits the rear right end corner of our car (closest to me). My dad said something, but I can't remember what, and he got out of the car to examine the damage. So after talking for like 2 mins the guy says, why don't we drive after the traffic light and park at the side then we'll talk there (The accident happened on the center lane).

So we hopped into our not so perfect car and drove past the traffic lights. We waited for a minute or so but the car never came.


Wa Lao Eh!


Don't tell me he ran away ah?


So me and my dad walked back and they were still parked there in the center. We crossed the road and walked over to them. basically, their Front left wheel had concaved in, and it was impossible for them to drive off. The driver, a lady of only 3 years my senior was stuck inside her car and was unable to get out as the front bumper went underneath the car and lodged her door shut. But at least no one was hurt.

They were a malay family who were probably going back home (They also stayed at Pasir Ris) after visiting people as they were all dressed up nicely and everything. They had a baby in the back seat too, probably unaware of what was going on. (No wonder they say ignorance is bliss)

So we asked them what happened and the story that they told us was this:

Their car was stopped behind our car at the traffic light. They decied to change lanes form our lane to the lane on the right. When they peered through the side view mirror, there were no cars. So she proceeded with the changing of lanes.
Out of no where, this grey Subaru comes speeding down this lane and hits them. They then hit us. However, this grey Subaru drives off after hitting them. (So it's a hit and run case)

To believe or not to believe. That's the Question...





But I believe.





The reason is because the malay family seemed like really nice people. Ok, thats not a valid reason... But it was because we had heard the rattling noise before the collision of the Honda into us. No we didn't hear the *Boom* when the Subaru hit the Honda and we didn't see the Subaru either.

But that rattling noise convinced us. You see, the Honda's front bumper was underneath the car. So the bumper moving across the road would have caused the rattling noise. And also, if the Honda had just hit us without the Subaru, the bumper would have still been at the front, instead of underneath the car.

We believe that the Subaru hit the front of the Honda, knocked off the Bumper and then the Honda went over the bumper and hit us.

But DAMN the Subaru Driver. You hit a car, which causes a 2nd collision and you dare run?



I hope you fall flat on your face and smash your nose in.


And then you try and go for plastic surgery but come out of the room with a nose like Michael Jackson's.


Ok... I shouldn't be cursing people. I don't want bad Karma. So i'll take that back...


But seriously, a Hit and Run case. I feel really bad for the malay family cuz like we should be asking their insurance company to pay for our damages. Of course they would want the Subaru to pay for our, and their damages, but we just don't know the license plate number of the Subaru...


And also, I can't stand the people that stare like nobody's business when there's an accident.

And there's no use winding down the window either... You can smell the accident meh!?!

And you know the sign that people do with their hands when they're angry? You know the one where it seems like they're flipping/pointing their middle fingers but just don't have the guts to do so, so they just use all 5 fingers?

Yeah, that sign. Must you do that cuz we're blocking the road?


The car is in the center lane, It can't be driven off, what do you want us to do? The tow truck is on the way... You want us to tow it out of the road ar?


F*cking Ignorant Selfish people...



Oh yeah, and a police car with flashing lights arrived. I looked away, and the next thing I knew, they were gone. And there I was thinking that they actually cared.



So we had to go to the Neighbourhood Police Post and make a report. And there was only one guy working at the counter handling the complaints/cases. We spent like a total of 45 minutes there. Damn... Too many police checking IC's in broad daylight already...

Yes, It happened to me once. I was at a chalet at Changi, and we were walking over to changi village for lunch. the 5 of us (So its not even an illegal gathering). Then suddenly a police car stops us and asks us for our IC. We were walking on the sidewalk, NOTHING illegal there...

Why check our IC when its 12 noon, and 5 people? Scared that we're guys by day, and Ah Gua's by night ar?

So I only got home at like 10 something close to 11, and my right shoulder was aching. Guess its the after effect of the collision.


Stupid Subaru... Hope it breaks down...

The new guy has came in to work already... He's still learning all the different kinds of reports from Jasper. Then i'm supposed to teach him some other new stuff today... Then I start teaching 2 weekly reports each week... Slowly easing my work load...

I kinda pity him. Gosh, what a boring/tedious job he'll have until he gets a different job.

He seems like a nice guy, and thank god he's a new employee... At least it minimizes the fact that he'll pull rank and make me do the work...

On a weird note, TNT's internet was down for like half a day that day. I couldn't even use it to go to google or whatever.

But I think due to that upgrade or downgrade, the ban that they have on certain websites are down...

That means that I can go to Myspace, Friendster, and even Youtube!

But I haven't really went on those sites yet. Scared that they have some kind of tracking system. Haha...


I can also sign into MSN!!! But it signs me off after 10 seconds of being online. So, F it.

I have a medical appointment this Friday, so that means I have today, and Tomorrow left until the weekend... WooHoo!!! These couple of weeks seem to have gone by pretty quickly... Hopefully, 15 other weeks will go by quickly too...

Seems like i'm not exaggerating anything. My school's supervisor has now gotten involved and has told me that he MIGHT be pulling me out of the company if they don't stop making me do the reports soon. I was told to basically give him an hour to hour basis on what I do at the company.

I've never heard of someone being pulled out of a company before. This is my first, and it might be happening to me... Me and my drama filled life ... lol.

I'm stuck in the middle of two rocks about this situation though. Sure, i'd LOVE to leave the company, the work sucks, and the tension in that office is just so high. and the environment that i'm working at is just quiet. It just seems like everyone in there is working EVERY single minute. Never once taking a break and to just be human. Until lunch time or after working hours. Damn TNT has hired some REALLY good people to do work...

But that's just not me. I love to have fun while working at the same time. Same goes with projects and any other things that i do. Whats the point of doing them when you're not having fun?

Life's too short.


But then again, I pity my supervisor (Ajit). You see, my department SQ (Service Quality) is a small department. It only comprises of 4 people, including me. The big boss of SQ is never around, and he's always at meetings and such. Ajit is 2nd in line and has been recently packed with a bunch of projects and meetings. Jasper is leaving in like 2 and a half more days... and then there's me.

Everything is happening at the same time for Ajit. The work load, Jasper leaving, Me coming, and Someone new coming to replace Jasper. Its just hard for him to handle and his hands are already tied behind his back. So I wanna leave, but what happens if I really do? Who's going to teach the new person how to do the reports? (I'm supposed to be the one teaching him/her btw, and i'd be graded on my supervisional skills also. Which i think Mr. Ho, my school supervisor, would NOT like.) I believe that the new person that's about to be hired is from an internal posting, meaning that the person has been working in the TNT for some time already, and just decided to change their job scope/surroundings. This is a huge disadvantage for me...


Why would a grown adult that has been working in TNT longer than me want to take instructions from a person that is here only for attachment? How am I supposed to "delegate" my work to them? - Which is what Ajit told me I have to do.


I have the hour to hour record of what i did on Friday, but there's no point for me to type it out here. Since I believe none will be interested. lol

TNT had an event just recently. It was hilarious. The MC kept telling the big bosses to "Suck Harder" as the game was that the boss had to drink orange juice from a milk bottle. Me and the other interns from NYP just laughed our asses off at the back... lol... I wonder what i'd do without them. Guess i'll find out in 3 weeks time as their attachment ends then...

Had a dream about 2 nights ago... Dreamt of people that I actually forgot existed... I dreamt of some people in the US, and it was weird...

Prior to that night, I had a dream that i was in a packed elevator and the cable just snapped and i was plummeting to my death. In there, i told myself: "So, this is how it ends..." Yeah. Talk about being under stress....

At the entrance, they took several photos of us. This is a really nice photo but i didn't feel the urge to buy it at first. Then while waiting for the cab home, I regretted my decision... So I took a photo of the photo that the others bought... lol. I know. Cheapskate.

I’m also busy these days cuz I’m helping my god-cousin with this figure wrestling federation thing by doing a little website and stuff… So I’m usually over at his house after work.


I know… Lame to some, but it may be interesting to others…


But it takes LOTS of work. You can spend like hours on it to do a 5 minute match…


Oh well, at least it gives me something to think about while I’m at work.


It’s nice to know that you have a supervisor that is willing to help you out whenever your company decides to give you the “dirty” work.

Mr. Ho called up my supervisor yesterday, and told him that the school did NOT want me to be doing the work that I’m currently doing. So yeah, guess I’ll be doing this until the next person comes in and takes over my current colleague.

Work’s getting better; the relationship between my other colleagues has also gotten better… So yeah, it’s been a good 3rd week so far. Except for the nagging feeling that I’d have to do even more reports than what I’m currently working on.

While there, I saw this other male Orang Utan named Charlie there that came from Malaysia that was known to be aggressive. It’s so freaking huge in size. I seriously thought I saw “Big Foot” for a moment…


He was put into this glass exhibition with one other orang utan there to basically interact with Charlie. So poor thing right? I’ll put up pictures on my next post…


Went home after the zoo cuz everyone was tired… Went to Elias Mall for dinner cuz Xin Wei just came back from Australia after being there for his attachment. Talk for quite a while, then went over to my god cousin’s place right afterwards. Lol. Told you that it takes a lot of time already…

I’m sitting at my desk, 2 other people are sitting on the right of me, pretty far away, and there’s 3 people having a meeting in front of me. The 2 desks behind me are currently empty, and the windows behind this desk are closed.

So I was reading YS’s blog (must be he damn suay) then suddenly…








*BOOM*








Ok, not exactly “boom” but I don’t know how to type that kind of sound out…

I practically jumped out of my seat and turned to see what was going on.


Everyone started looking towards the source of the noise, and the people in front of me paused their meeting to see what was going on also. The sound itself was pretty loud, but since the office is really quiet, it made it sound even louder.

Basically what happened was the window flew open, as if a HUGE gust of wind traveling at a hurricane’s speed blew straight at it. The blinds that were inside of this window were then seen hanging out of the window.



The only conclusion is that a huge gust of wind blew the window open. But where did the wind come from? We’re in an enclosed air conditioned place…

I thought that maybe the windows were the kind that if you pushed it out to a certain distance, it would force itself to open. So I went to test the window.

No, the window doesn’t do that. AND the window DAMN heavy lah!





What kind of wind can push open that heavy window?

And where did it come from?




Yes, I’m spooked…




Now they’re saying that something is haunting me.

But I’m such a kind soul. How can? Lol.




For a second, I thought that it was something like 9/11 as there are planes flying over our building all the time as the airport is just further down…

The weekend + My Rant

This is probably the one weekend that I loved the most. Not because of what I did over the weekend, but rather what I DIDN’T do.

As you all know I hate my work, and in case you still don’t know why, I’ll have things to tell you why. But let’s save that for later…

I went to town on Saturday at like 1:30 to meet YS and CC to head for kbox. Then had dinner at Thai Express…

I didn’t do much on Sunday either as I just went out with my parents for breakfast/lunch, and did a little shopping.

But the interesting part of the weekend was actually on Saturday. I think because I haven’t been on traveling on the train for along time already, fate just wanted to inform me that weird things do happen on the train usually involving stupid/weird people.

Since I got on the train at Pasir Ris, I definitely had a seat. When we were around Kallang, a mom with 2 kids walked into the train. The lady next to me immediately stood up letting the kids take the seat. BUT the stupid mother decides to take the seat for herself. She sits down while the kids look at her crowding around her legs/knees.

What else could I do? Of course I had to stand up lah! So when I stood up, the kids went to sit down, and the damn mother didn’t even say thank you. YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO TEACH MANNERS TO YOUR CHILDREN. LEAD BY EXAMPLE!!!

Irritating people. So many of them on the trains…

Next there was this guy, damn feminine. He was carrying a Louis Vuitton wallet, and a Louis Vuitton luggage bag. Now, I believe that they were real, cuz he was DAMN metrosexual (Not that there’s anything wrong with being one) and he seemed like he’s the type that will buy the Louis Vuitton bag and sleep in the streets for like 2 months or something.

Do you know what he decides to do? He decides to freaking put the Louis Vuitton luggage on some trolley that people carry to the market and hook his bag onto the trolley with some rubber thing… It SOOO downgrades the image of Louis Vuitton lah!

The bag was so empty that it was slouching down the sides. Cannot just carry it meh? Do you really need a trolley to pull that 2 pound bag around?

So while standing, this auntie stands right beside me… Before I know it, she started scratching or massaging her armpits.

DISGUSTING RIGHT?

Gosh… If you wanna scratch/massage your armpits, then do it at home. IN THE SHOWER!. If you die die must scratch/massage in public, then do it discreetly please. Not in the train when people are looking at you from both sides lah!

So I eventually got off the train (Thank god) and met YS and CC, who were BOTH late.

After dinner and everything, I took the train back home, and I guess god hates me. (I’m guessing based on my attachment and how unlucky I am in seeing all these stupid/weird people on the train)

On the train ride home, another auntie decides to put on diapers on her child (a boy). ON THE SEATS!

She asks the boy to lay down on the seats, the boy sticks both his legs in the air, she removes his pants and… I looked away.

What? Then I stare at the boy meh!?! Wait people say I Pedophile lah! But I mean, C’mon… We’re on the train, and you decided to put on diapers? What if he suddenly shits in the diapers? You’re going to change his diapers and wipe his butt on the train is it?

On another note, why the hell must you _______ people hold the railings that’s situated above your heads!?! There’s railings at the side, can’t you hold that? Must you stretch your armpits by holding the top railing???

GOT SMELL ONE LEH!!!

Why can’t they be considerate?

And scrub your armpits REALLY REALLY hard.

That auntie that scratched her armpits should do this too…

My work…

I guess the relationships between me and my colleagues are getting better. But it seems like they will ONLY talk to me when they need something from me…

I can’t stand my colleague now. The guy that was my “stand-in” supervisor for the first 3 days.

He’s supposed to be teaching me how to do the reports so he’s already taught a couple to me. So now the reports become my job, and it lessens his work load.

Yesterday, I completed the report but I forgot to save it, and I spent 2 hours on it!!!

So I had to rush it out before I went to lunch. However, there’s another report that I have to do at 11:30. So he says: “Do the IR report first, then after that continue with your current report”.

He heads back to his desk, and then 5 mins later, stands up and goes for lunch!!!

CANNOT HELP ME DO THE IR REPORT AR?!?!

So I’m there working my ass off just so that I can complete it before the last lunch time.

And he decides to take his remaining leave (because he’s resigning on the 25th) on Mondays. The days that have the MOST work to do!

F*ckin Asshole lah!

And he keeps saying he only has 9 more days left before he resigns…

SO WHAT!?! I only have…..

Another thing that I hate is that he’s so horny or smth. When we go to the Pick-Up & Delivery area, there’s this girl who’s kinda pretty. He keeps talking to her, and orders me around to do the work. We have to put up some graphs on the bulletin which is outside of the office. He makes me do the work while he keeps talking to the girl lah!

Then the bulletin is so high! I CANNOT REACH!!! No stools around also… I look so dumb… I have to stretch to my maximum before I reach it, and it seriously gives me cramps lah! But he’s still talking to the girl in the air conditioned room while I’m sweating bullets outside!

And oh yeah… He keeps playing the same song on the computer when the boss isin’t around!

IRRITATING!

He keeps replaying the song from 200 pound beauty. Then when I tell him to change songs because it’s so annoying to repeat the SAME song, he changes it…

To the song Because I’m a Girl by Kiss. He then repeats this song over and over again. When I tell him to change, it goes back to the 200 pound beauty song!

I’m tired of asking him to change the song already!!!

And I’m tired of my work too! Lol. The workload just gets heavier and heavier…

Alright. Here’s the end to my long rant…

I am one of the “Heroes”

I knew it all along that I had it inside of me. I knew that I was different from all of my loser-ish friends (just kidding btw) and I just found out what my super power is. (I originally thought my super power was allowing me to sit on people...)

I knew that I was made to do something in this world. What’s my super power? I can predict the future.

I predicted that I would have lunch all by myself, and guess what? I DID. Day two of work, and I ended up eating by myself. Sad huh?

Most of the people treat me like i'm invisible. Wait... Invisibility might be another one of my super powers. None of them actually talked to me. Lol. My outgoing character has turned into some office person who just sits at his desk squinting his eyes at his computer.

AS IF LIKE MY EYES NOT SMALL ENOUGH IN REAL LIFE ALREADY!

I made another prediction and it came true once more. That prediction was that only things can get better. And it did for today!

Today when I got to work, this lady asked me if was going to lunch today and if I wanted to go and have lunch with her. So we went out for lunch together, and she's a pretty funny person. While at Bedok Interchange, another lady sat beside us as she was having lunch by herself. (She's also from our company). I talked to her, and I guess they're pretty alright.

Then I went back to work, and I fell silent again. I guess we can't really talk and joke much in the office as the boss is in a grumpy mood these past few days. So yeah, I went back to squinting my tiny eyes. I hope they don't say that I fell asleep.

Stayed back a little today to write notes about each report that I have to do and at the same time wait for the company's transportation to the Tanah Merah MRT Station. Talked to this other guy who runs around the place. It really sucks that the people I actually get along with don't really work with me.

Oh yeah, I can make time fast forward and rewind too! I have to punch card you see, and It's always 10 minutes fast. I admit I can't control my powers of time changing... First day of attachment.

So yesterday, I had a bunch of emotions. Feeling scared, to excited, and I had so many questions.

What if all my co-workers are bitchy?
What if they all make me do their work?
What if they're not friendly?
What if the boss expects so much more from me?
What if they dig their noses and eats whatever treasure they manage to dig out?

I also had questions about the office...

Is it cold?
Is it hot?
Do I get a desk?
Do I get my own computer?
Can I listen to music?
How is lunch settled?


Now I have the answers...

Based on the first day of work,






I HATE MY JOB!!!


My current supervisor (Because my real one is overseas) is a little freaky. He kept talking about the girls in the whole company non stop... What do you expect me to do? Conversate with you about who I think is pretty and who's not on my first day of work with my supervisor?

CRAZY!

I had lunch with my supervisor because he's the only one that practically talks to me. He wanted us to have lunch with some other guy, so we did. I ate sliced fish soup, and I didn't finish my vegetables. He suddenly goes... "Haiyo... Never eat vegetables one... tsk tsk tsk"

WTF! I ate my vegetables. They just decided to give access vegetables that day. I couldn't finish them lah! And I didn't know him that well, must he say something like that?

Ugh!

Hopefully the people will be more friendly this time, because some of them barely said "eh". I'm not kidding lah! Lol.

I hope you guys are doing better than me for your attachments.

And poor Shwa Juan, she had to work OT on the first day of work.

Here's hoping for the better... For me first. Then maybe everyone else...
