Pay Day

I just received my pay 2 days ago, and boy am I happy. I'm not happy because I got $480 richer, but actually because it showed that a month has passed. 3 more months to go!

I'm starting to hear more stories of people's attachment turning bad. I think I'd rather have an attachment start off bad, and get better, rather than start off great, and starts to deteriorate afterwards. Hang in there YS... Don't be so gullible and think that everyone is nice. Men (& Women) are selfish by nature.

When a human loses their compassion for another, they are nothing but beasts...

I read about that Youtube video in the newspapers today where there are 3 tourists that "bullied" the uncle that was operating the trishaw. I went to see the video earlier on, and it's disgusting to see how people react. Sure, the tourists were wrong to be laughing at the uncle that was 70 years old. But must you throw in their race and nationality when criticizing them? How would you feel if you were judged based on your nationality and race? If you were to visit a different country, would you want others to be judging you because you're a Singaporean? It's not doing Singapore any good when you decide to throw malicious comments based on nationality and race.

I plan on having chalet after our attachment ends? Who's up for it? Please say "Aye" if you are up for it and "Nay" if you're against it.

Kelvin - Aye

Certain people are starting to piss me off... Taking a small matter and blowing it to huge proportions as if it was a life and death situation. Just get over it. Stop trying to always be the center of attention.

Happy Birthday

Today was my brother's Birthday (Happy Birthday btw...) and we went to the East Coast Seafood center for dinner. We ordered a bunch of stuff and boy was I full after that meal. There was like:

Chilli Crabs
Black Pepper Crabs
BBQ Fish
Scallop wrapped in Yam
Sambal Kankong
Cereal Prawns
Baby Squid

Followed by Yam pudding with Ginko Nuts. (Oh Nee, or Or Ni - or mix and match those up)

5 of us total. Including me. How can we not be full???

I teared up not too long ago... Was watching this Taiwanese news and they showed a fire in a person's house. Then they went on to explain that the lady living in that house owns up to 80 something dogs...

Some of the dogs were trapped in the fire.

As if that wasn't bad enough, they went on the explain that the shrieks and cries of the dogs could be heard from the ground level.

I started feeling sad already...

Then they decided to stop talking and let us listen to the noise of the video. The dogs shrieks and cries were very audible... I teared up immediately...

I have a Medical Appointment tomrrow for my lungs at CGH. That means, no work tmr! Hope i remember to get a letter from the doctor... Wait i get charged for AWOL. considered as absent for 3 days leh!

I can only take a max of 8 days MC. 3 days absent will devastate the number of MC days i'm allowed to take lah!

_______________________________________________

This is the first time in the whole 4 weeks that I had time to stare at the computer and think of what to do. I completed like most of my work in the first 3 days, working my ass off from 8:30 to 5:55 as I thought that I would not have enough time to complete all the stuff. So while thinking of what to do, I decided to take a quiz... Its some brainteaser quiz, and here's my result:

You answered 28 out of 30 questions correctly!

Congratulations! Your score is in the 99th percentile, so on average, if 100 people took this test your score would be expected to rank higher than 98 of them. Your strongest area is your linguistic-mathematical ability where you scored in the 100th percentile. This means you are suited to:

Translating words into numbers and solving "word problems"
Cutting through a mass of information to find a clear answer

I didn't know that I was a genius.

Update.

So last Sunday I went out for dinner with my family. We were on our way home from dinner and stopped at the traffic light of Bedok North Road and Bedok Reservoir Road.

I was channel hopping on the radio. Switching between 93.3, 98.7 and 98.0. It was 8:20 and I was thinking: "Man, when I get home, I can sleep early so that I would not be tired for work tomorrow..."

Next thing I knew...

*Rattle*

*Rattle*

*Rattle*

*Booom*

I flew forward a little bit, had one arm on the drivers seat, and the other on the cupholder that was in the center. I didn't move at all for like 5 seconds, and I couldn't even think of words to say. My mind was just blank.

Turns out, this Blue Honda hits the rear right end corner of our car (closest to me). My dad said something, but I can't remember what, and he got out of the car to examine the damage. So after talking for like 2 mins the guy says, why don't we drive after the traffic light and park at the side then we'll talk there (The accident happened on the center lane).

So we hopped into our not so perfect car and drove past the traffic lights. We waited for a minute or so but the car never came.

Wa Lao Eh!

Don't tell me he ran away ah?

So me and my dad walked back and they were still parked there in the center. We crossed the road and walked over to them. basically, their Front left wheel had concaved in, and it was impossible for them to drive off. The driver, a lady of only 3 years my senior was stuck inside her car and was unable to get out as the front bumper went underneath the car and lodged her door shut. But at least no one was hurt.

They were a malay family who were probably going back home (They also stayed at Pasir Ris) after visiting people as they were all dressed up nicely and everything. They had a baby in the back seat too, probably unaware of what was going on. (No wonder they say ignorance is bliss)

So we asked them what happened and the story that they told us was this:

Their car was stopped behind our car at the traffic light. They decied to change lanes form our lane to the lane on the right. When they peered through the side view mirror, there were no cars. So she proceeded with the changing of lanes.
Out of no where, this grey Subaru comes speeding down this lane and hits them. They then hit us. However, this grey Subaru drives off after hitting them. (So it's a hit and run case)

To believe or not to believe. That's the Question...

But I believe.

The reason is because the malay family seemed like really nice people. Ok, thats not a valid reason... But it was because we had heard the rattling noise before the collision of the Honda into us. No we didn't hear the *Boom* when the Subaru hit the Honda and we didn't see the Subaru either.

But that rattling noise convinced us. You see, the Honda's front bumper was underneath the car. So the bumper moving across the road would have caused the rattling noise. And also, if the Honda had just hit us without the Subaru, the bumper would have still been at the front, instead of underneath the car.

We believe that the Subaru hit the front of the Honda, knocked off the Bumper and then the Honda went over the bumper and hit us.

But DAMN the Subaru Driver. You hit a car, which causes a 2nd collision and you dare run?

I hope you fall flat on your face and smash your nose in.

And then you try and go for plastic surgery but come out of the room with a nose like Michael Jackson's.

Ok... I shouldn't be cursing people. I don't want bad Karma. So i'll take that back...

But seriously, a Hit and Run case. I feel really bad for the malay family cuz like we should be asking their insurance company to pay for our damages. Of course they would want the Subaru to pay for our, and their damages, but we just don't know the license plate number of the Subaru...

And also, I can't stand the people that stare like nobody's business when there's an accident.

And there's no use winding down the window either... You can smell the accident meh!?!

And you know the sign that people do with their hands when they're angry? You know the one where it seems like they're flipping/pointing their middle fingers but just don't have the guts to do so, so they just use all 5 fingers?

Yeah, that sign. Must you do that cuz we're blocking the road?

The car is in the center lane, It can't be driven off, what do you want us to do? The tow truck is on the way... You want us to tow it out of the road ar?

F*cking Ignorant Selfish people...

Oh yeah, and a police car with flashing lights arrived. I looked away, and the next thing I knew, they were gone. And there I was thinking that they actually cared.

So we had to go to the Neighbourhood Police Post and make a report. And there was only one guy working at the counter handling the complaints/cases. We spent like a total of 45 minutes there. Damn... Too many police checking IC's in broad daylight already...

Yes, It happened to me once. I was at a chalet at Changi, and we were walking over to changi village for lunch. the 5 of us (So its not even an illegal gathering). Then suddenly a police car stops us and asks us for our IC. We were walking on the sidewalk, NOTHING illegal there...

Why check our IC when its 12 noon, and 5 people? Scared that we're guys by day, and Ah Gua's by night ar?

So I only got home at like 10 something close to 11, and my right shoulder was aching. Guess its the after effect of the collision.

Stupid Subaru... Hope it breaks down...
Hey, cursing a car shouldn't have bad karma on me right?

The new guy has came in to work already... He's still learning all the different kinds of reports from Jasper. Then i'm supposed to teach him some other new stuff today... Then I start teaching 2 weekly reports each week... Slowly easing my work load...

I kinda pity him. Gosh, what a boring/tedious job he'll have until he gets a different job.

He seems like a nice guy, and thank god he's a new employee... At least it minimizes the fact that he'll pull rank and make me do the work...

On a weird note, TNT's internet was down for like half a day that day. I couldn't even use it to go to google or whatever.

But I think due to that upgrade or downgrade, the ban that they have on certain websites are down...

That means that I can go to Myspace, Friendster, and even Youtube!

But I haven't really went on those sites yet. Scared that they have some kind of tracking system. Haha...

I can also sign into MSN!!! But it signs me off after 10 seconds of being online. So, F it.

Pics and Stuff...

Alright... Just a quick update on some stuff... Like my internship...

_____________________________

Seems like i'm not exaggerating anything. My school's supervisor has now gotten involved and has told me that he MIGHT be pulling me out of the company if they don't stop making me do the reports soon. I was told to basically give him an hour to hour basis on what I do at the company.

I've never heard of someone being pulled out of a company before. This is my first, and it might be happening to me... Me and my drama filled life ... lol.

I'm stuck in the middle of two rocks about this situation though. Sure, i'd LOVE to leave the company, the work sucks, and the tension in that office is just so high. and the environment that i'm working at is just quiet. It just seems like everyone in there is working EVERY single minute. Never once taking a break and to just be human. Until lunch time or after working hours. Damn TNT has hired some REALLY good people to do work...

But that's just not me. I love to have fun while working at the same time. Same goes with projects and any other things that i do. Whats the point of doing them when you're not having fun?

Life's too short.

But then again, I pity my supervisor (Ajit). You see, my department SQ (Service Quality) is a small department. It only comprises of 4 people, including me. The big boss of SQ is never around, and he's always at meetings and such. Ajit is 2nd in line and has been recently packed with a bunch of projects and meetings. Jasper is leaving in like 2 and a half more days... and then there's me.

Everything is happening at the same time for Ajit. The work load, Jasper leaving, Me coming, and Someone new coming to replace Jasper. Its just hard for him to handle and his hands are already tied behind his back. So I wanna leave, but what happens if I really do? Who's going to teach the new person how to do the reports? (I'm supposed to be the one teaching him/her btw, and i'd be graded on my supervisional skills also. Which i think Mr. Ho, my school supervisor, would NOT like.) I believe that the new person that's about to be hired is from an internal posting, meaning that the person has been working in the TNT for some time already, and just decided to change their job scope/surroundings. This is a huge disadvantage for me...

Why would a grown adult that has been working in TNT longer than me want to take instructions from a person that is here only for attachment? How am I supposed to "delegate" my work to them? - Which is what Ajit told me I have to do.

I have the hour to hour record of what i did on Friday, but there's no point for me to type it out here. Since I believe none will be interested. lol

TNT had an event just recently. It was hilarious. The MC kept telling the big bosses to "Suck Harder" as the game was that the boss had to drink orange juice from a milk bottle. Me and the other interns from NYP just laughed our asses off at the back... lol... I wonder what i'd do without them. Guess i'll find out in 3 weeks time as their attachment ends then...

Had a dream about 2 nights ago... Dreamt of people that I actually forgot existed... I dreamt of some people in the US, and it was weird...

Prior to that night, I had a dream that i was in a packed elevator and the cable just snapped and i was plummeting to my death. In there, i told myself: "So, this is how it ends..." Yeah. Talk about being under stress....

Anywayz, here's some pictures from the zoo that I promised on the last entry.

This Orang Utan was the one that was hiding from that huge Charlie... It even used that rice sack to cover itself as it was drizzling that day... Smart animals...

Welcoming Orangzilla... Charlie. But I gotta admit, its the best looking Orang Utan to me as its hair is really nice.

If you can't see what the wordings say, it says "This is how far a tiger can jump"... We placed Iris there just to show you how far it is. lol.

At the entrance, they took several photos of us. This is a really nice photo but i didn't feel the urge to buy it at first. Then while waiting for the cab home, I regretted my decision... So I took a photo of the photo that the others bought... lol. I know. Cheapskate.

I love the camera!!! It takes such clear photos and it can zoom in pretty far. Lol.

Here's Carol trying to take a picture with that... um... thing...

Us 5 with a clear view of the Mandai Reservoir... Or is it a lake? (From Left to right: Carol, Iris, Me, Johnathan, Wei Li...)

Read it... And stick it in your head. Don't you axeman feel bad???

This is the reason why i'm an avid surporter of Live Earth... Lol.

Ok... These were some of the pictures that I took, the others were all of the animals. So there's not much point in posting those pictures. One last note:

I'm Hungry....

Karma

As you guys have realized, I’ve stopped updating my blog as often as I used to. Blame My Job! Lol.

I have one rant to get out and that is to my colleague…

You’re an Ass!!!

Ugh… You had Saturday and Sunday off, you have 3 days of leave to clear, and chose to take it on Monday, which you knew was the busiest day of the week!

---------------------Nevermind…---------------------

You still have the cheek to go and take M.C. on Tuesday!!!

If you’re really sick, then it’s ok… But when I saw you today, you looked TOTALLY fine. No indication of being sick at all!

---------------------Nevermind…---------------------

You use up all of your leave on next Monday again!!!

---------------------Nevermind…---------------------

You now decide to teach me everything else a day before you leave. So what should I do when I have problems doing them the very next day?

---------------------Nevermind…---------------------

Then you keep bragging about your new 1 and a half day leave for Hari Raya (Don’t ask me why its 1½ days of leave… I also don’t know…) that TNT has just given you in front of me when I got ZERO days of leave…

---------------------NOW I MIND!!! ---------------------

You’re so… Ugh…

I’m also busy these days cuz I’m helping my god-cousin with this figure wrestling federation thing by doing a little website and stuff… So I’m usually over at his house after work.

I know… Lame to some, but it may be interesting to others…

But it takes LOTS of work. You can spend like hours on it to do a 5 minute match…

Oh well, at least it gives me something to think about while I’m at work.

It’s nice to know that you have a supervisor that is willing to help you out whenever your company decides to give you the “dirty” work.

Mr. Ho called up my supervisor yesterday, and told him that the school did NOT want me to be doing the work that I’m currently doing. So yeah, guess I’ll be doing this until the next person comes in and takes over my current colleague.

Work’s getting better; the relationship between my other colleagues has also gotten better… So yeah, it’s been a good 3rd week so far. Except for the nagging feeling that I’d have to do even more reports than what I’m currently working on.

Went to the zoo on Saturday... I know that I went there not too long ago.

But I missed Ah meng mah…

While there, I saw this other male Orang Utan named Charlie there that came from Malaysia that was known to be aggressive. It’s so freaking huge in size. I seriously thought I saw “Big Foot” for a moment…

He was put into this glass exhibition with one other orang utan there to basically interact with Charlie. So poor thing right? I’ll put up pictures on my next post…

Went home after the zoo cuz everyone was tired… Went to Elias Mall for dinner cuz Xin Wei just came back from Australia after being there for his attachment. Talk for quite a while, then went over to my god cousin’s place right afterwards. Lol. Told you that it takes a lot of time already…

Saw Britney Spear’s new MTV for “Gimme More” and its pretty dumb. In the whole video, she keeps pole dancing, with a pole of course, and dances against the wall. That practically sums up the video…

I was just thinking the other day about Karma…

Britney Spears must’ve done something REALLY bad to Justin Timberlake when they were together…

Hey girl, is he everything you wanted in a man
You know I gave you the world
You had me in the palm of your hand

So why your love went away
I just can't seem to understand
Thought it was me and you babe
Me and you until the end
But I guess I was wrong

Don't want to think about it
Don't want to talk about it
I'm just so sick about it
Can't believe it's ending this way

Just so confused about it
Feeling the blues about it
I just can't do without ya
Tell me is this fair?

Is this the way it's really going down?
Is this how we say goodbye?
Should've known better when you came around
That you were gonna make me cry
It's breaking my heart to watch you run around
'Cause I know that you're living a lie
That's okay baby 'cause in time you will find

What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around

I Guess Justin was right…

Breathe... Just breathe...

I’ve just possible had the shock of my life just 5 minutes ago…

I’m still trying to calm myself down…..

I’m sitting at my desk, 2 other people are sitting on the right of me, pretty far away, and there’s 3 people having a meeting in front of me. The 2 desks behind me are currently empty, and the windows behind this desk are closed.

So I was reading YS’s blog (must be he damn suay) then suddenly…

*BOOM*

Ok, not exactly “boom” but I don’t know how to type that kind of sound out…

I practically jumped out of my seat and turned to see what was going on.

Everyone started looking towards the source of the noise, and the people in front of me paused their meeting to see what was going on also. The sound itself was pretty loud, but since the office is really quiet, it made it sound even louder.

Basically what happened was the window flew open, as if a HUGE gust of wind traveling at a hurricane’s speed blew straight at it. The blinds that were inside of this window were then seen hanging out of the window.

The only conclusion is that a huge gust of wind blew the window open. But where did the wind come from? We’re in an enclosed air conditioned place…

I thought that maybe the windows were the kind that if you pushed it out to a certain distance, it would force itself to open. So I went to test the window.

No, the window doesn’t do that. AND the window DAMN heavy lah!

What kind of wind can push open that heavy window?

And where did it come from?

Yes, I’m spooked…

Now they’re saying that something is haunting me.

Shutter style or something…

But I’m such a kind soul. How can? Lol.

For a second, I thought that it was something like 9/11 as there are planes flying over our building all the time as the airport is just further down…

Just that it was an accident….

I just realized this isn’t a safe place to be working at…

Okay… Maybe I’m thinking too much…

Breathe in...
Breathe out...
Just breathe...

The weekend + My Rant

This is probably the one weekend that I loved the most. Not because of what I did over the weekend, but rather what I DIDN’T do.

As you all know I hate my work, and in case you still don’t know why, I’ll have things to tell you why. But let’s save that for later…

I went to town on Saturday at like 1:30 to meet YS and CC to head for kbox. Then had dinner at Thai Express…

I didn’t do much on Sunday either as I just went out with my parents for breakfast/lunch, and did a little shopping.

But the interesting part of the weekend was actually on Saturday. I think because I haven’t been on traveling on the train for along time already, fate just wanted to inform me that weird things do happen on the train usually involving stupid/weird people.

Since I got on the train at Pasir Ris, I definitely had a seat. When we were around Kallang, a mom with 2 kids walked into the train. The lady next to me immediately stood up letting the kids take the seat. BUT the stupid mother decides to take the seat for herself. She sits down while the kids look at her crowding around her legs/knees.

What else could I do? Of course I had to stand up lah! So when I stood up, the kids went to sit down, and the damn mother didn’t even say thank you. YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO TEACH MANNERS TO YOUR CHILDREN. LEAD BY EXAMPLE!!!

Irritating people. So many of them on the trains…

Next there was this guy, damn feminine. He was carrying a Louis Vuitton wallet, and a Louis Vuitton luggage bag. Now, I believe that they were real, cuz he was DAMN metrosexual (Not that there’s anything wrong with being one) and he seemed like he’s the type that will buy the Louis Vuitton bag and sleep in the streets for like 2 months or something.

Do you know what he decides to do? He decides to freaking put the Louis Vuitton luggage on some trolley that people carry to the market and hook his bag onto the trolley with some rubber thing… It SOOO downgrades the image of Louis Vuitton lah!

The bag was so empty that it was slouching down the sides. Cannot just carry it meh? Do you really need a trolley to pull that 2 pound bag around?

So while standing, this auntie stands right beside me… Before I know it, she started scratching or massaging her armpits.

DISGUSTING RIGHT?

Gosh… If you wanna scratch/massage your armpits, then do it at home. IN THE SHOWER!. If you die die must scratch/massage in public, then do it discreetly please. Not in the train when people are looking at you from both sides lah!

So I eventually got off the train (Thank god) and met YS and CC, who were BOTH late.

After dinner and everything, I took the train back home, and I guess god hates me. (I’m guessing based on my attachment and how unlucky I am in seeing all these stupid/weird people on the train)

On the train ride home, another auntie decides to put on diapers on her child (a boy). ON THE SEATS!

She asks the boy to lay down on the seats, the boy sticks both his legs in the air, she removes his pants and… I looked away.

What? Then I stare at the boy meh!?! Wait people say I Pedophile lah! But I mean, C’mon… We’re on the train, and you decided to put on diapers? What if he suddenly shits in the diapers? You’re going to change his diapers and wipe his butt on the train is it?

On another note, why the hell must you _______ people hold the railings that’s situated above your heads!?! There’s railings at the side, can’t you hold that? Must you stretch your armpits by holding the top railing???

GOT SMELL ONE LEH!!!

Why can’t they be considerate?

Just put your hands down!

Or Shower….

And scrub your armpits REALLY REALLY hard.

That auntie that scratched her armpits should do this too…

So it won’t itch on the train…

My work…

I guess the relationships between me and my colleagues are getting better. But it seems like they will ONLY talk to me when they need something from me…

I can’t stand my colleague now. The guy that was my “stand-in” supervisor for the first 3 days.

He’s supposed to be teaching me how to do the reports so he’s already taught a couple to me. So now the reports become my job, and it lessens his work load.

Yesterday, I completed the report but I forgot to save it, and I spent 2 hours on it!!!

So I had to rush it out before I went to lunch. However, there’s another report that I have to do at 11:30. So he says: “Do the IR report first, then after that continue with your current report”.

He heads back to his desk, and then 5 mins later, stands up and goes for lunch!!!

CANNOT HELP ME DO THE IR REPORT AR?!?!

So I’m there working my ass off just so that I can complete it before the last lunch time.

And he decides to take his remaining leave (because he’s resigning on the 25th) on Mondays. The days that have the MOST work to do!

F*ckin Asshole lah!

And he keeps saying he only has 9 more days left before he resigns…

SO WHAT!?! I only have…..

Um…

Still Calculating…..

78 days left only mah!

9 days big deal meh!?!

Ugh...

Another thing that I hate is that he’s so horny or smth. When we go to the Pick-Up & Delivery area, there’s this girl who’s kinda pretty. He keeps talking to her, and orders me around to do the work. We have to put up some graphs on the bulletin which is outside of the office. He makes me do the work while he keeps talking to the girl lah!

Then the bulletin is so high! I CANNOT REACH!!! No stools around also… I look so dumb… I have to stretch to my maximum before I reach it, and it seriously gives me cramps lah! But he’s still talking to the girl in the air conditioned room while I’m sweating bullets outside!

And oh yeah… He keeps playing the same song on the computer when the boss isin’t around!

IRRITATING!

He keeps replaying the song from 200 pound beauty. Then when I tell him to change songs because it’s so annoying to repeat the SAME song, he changes it…

To the song Because I’m a Girl by Kiss. He then repeats this song over and over again. When I tell him to change, it goes back to the 200 pound beauty song!

I’m tired of asking him to change the song already!!!

And I’m tired of my work too! Lol. The workload just gets heavier and heavier…

Alright. Here’s the end to my long rant…

I am one of the “Heroes”

I knew it all along that I had it inside of me. I knew that I was different from all of my loser-ish friends (just kidding btw) and I just found out what my super power is. (I originally thought my super power was allowing me to sit on people...)

I knew that I was made to do something in this world. What’s my super power? I can predict the future.

I predicted that I would have lunch all by myself, and guess what? I DID. Day two of work, and I ended up eating by myself. Sad huh?

Most of the people treat me like i'm invisible. Wait... Invisibility might be another one of my super powers. None of them actually talked to me. Lol. My outgoing character has turned into some office person who just sits at his desk squinting his eyes at his computer.

AS IF LIKE MY EYES NOT SMALL ENOUGH IN REAL LIFE ALREADY!

I made another prediction and it came true once more. That prediction was that only things can get better. And it did for today!

Today when I got to work, this lady asked me if was going to lunch today and if I wanted to go and have lunch with her. So we went out for lunch together, and she's a pretty funny person. While at Bedok Interchange, another lady sat beside us as she was having lunch by herself. (She's also from our company). I talked to her, and I guess they're pretty alright.

Then I went back to work, and I fell silent again. I guess we can't really talk and joke much in the office as the boss is in a grumpy mood these past few days. So yeah, I went back to squinting my tiny eyes. I hope they don't say that I fell asleep.

Stayed back a little today to write notes about each report that I have to do and at the same time wait for the company's transportation to the Tanah Merah MRT Station. Talked to this other guy who runs around the place. It really sucks that the people I actually get along with don't really work with me.

Oh yeah, I can make time fast forward and rewind too! I have to punch card you see, and It's always 10 minutes fast. I admit I can't control my powers of time changing... So I have to be there 10 minutes early EVERYDAY lah! Cannot leave early also, because wait everyone gossips about me being lazy...

Alright, since I have such a super power of predicting the future, I'm gonna predict the 1st Prize of 4-D. Make sure you buy it ah!

The number is...
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

59249

I'm confident that this will be the first prize!

First day of attachment.

So yesterday, I had a bunch of emotions. Feeling scared, to excited, and I had so many questions.

What if all my co-workers are bitchy?
What if they all make me do their work?
What if they're not friendly?
What if the boss expects so much more from me?
What if they dig their noses and eats whatever treasure they manage to dig out?

I also had questions about the office...

Is it cold?
Is it hot?
Do I get a desk?
Do I get my own computer?
Can I listen to music?
How is lunch settled?

Now I have the answers...

Based on the first day of work,

I HATE MY JOB!!!

My current supervisor (Because my real one is overseas) is a little freaky. He kept talking about the girls in the whole company non stop... What do you expect me to do? Conversate with you about who I think is pretty and who's not on my first day of work with my supervisor?

CRAZY!

I had lunch with my supervisor because he's the only one that practically talks to me. He wanted us to have lunch with some other guy, so we did. I ate sliced fish soup, and I didn't finish my vegetables. He suddenly goes... "Haiyo... Never eat vegetables one... tsk tsk tsk"

WTF! I ate my vegetables. They just decided to give access vegetables that day. I couldn't finish them lah! And I didn't know him that well, must he say something like that?

Ugh!

Hopefully the people will be more friendly this time, because some of them barely said "eh". I'm not kidding lah! Lol.

I hope you guys are doing better than me for your attachments.

And poor Shwa Juan, she had to work OT on the first day of work.

Here's hoping for the better... For me first. Then maybe everyone else...

Haha!

Random Things.

Went to school on Wednesday for the Pre-Internship seminar. It only ended at 5 even though it started at 3:15. Only 45 mins of the talk was useful. Waste an hour of my time! I eventually met my Liaison Officer and I find out that my allowance is $500 a month. But I still have to buy clothes cuz I HAVE to wear formal shirts to work everyday... Its from 9-6 and begins on Monday. But we were told to expect to work longer than the working hours stated... Gosh, I still have to write a Introduction letter for the company.

Intro for what? I thought Introduction letters are meant to sell ourselves to the company? I've already sold them the next 17 weeks of my life for $500 a month. I sure am cheap. Lol.

Shwa Juan gets a hefty $850 a month. Hopefully they don't overwork you!

After the seminar, I went out with Chee Chuan and Suraj to New York New York for dinner. The first time there, the food was bland. This time, the food was pretty good. The pasta was great, but the chicken that came on top of the pasta seemed to have been killed in an unusual way.

Drowned in Oil.

Went to the movies yesterday and we watched "Nanny Diaries". The first half an hour was BORING. A couple even left. Then it started to get better, then when it was at its climax, this happened....

Yeah, nothing happened. Because there was a blackout caused by some technical difficulties. Sat around in the cinema for like 15 minutes then we realized that they weren't able to resume the movie. So we were given this complimentary blue pass that we can use to watch any movie any time any where.

My friend didn't feel "SHIOK" since she didn't get to finish a movie, and asked if I wanted to watch another movie. We walked straight over to Century Square and saw "Balls of Fury". Back to back movies... Call me crazy! Ok, maybe not.

______________________________

Went to school today at 10:30am. My friend Lee Yung Sheng asked me to go down to school to play tennis with him since the Hey! Gorgeous crew were filming in school today and he was one of the contestants. Ben Yeo and Fiona Xie (who was wearing like 5 inch heels) then played a little bit of tennis against Yung Sheng. If you see that episode, you might see me standing at the corner of the tennis court not wanting to be involved.

Finished filming him at like 11, then just as I had predicted, he just left me there. Thank god I expected it and asked Suraj to accompany me. Daniel also arrived shortly later to accompany me... Haha.

Sat around at FC 3 until like 2:45, then headed to the foyer outside of fc 5 to watch the top 3 guys and girls. Here's a picture that I took:

Left after they filmed to meet Suraj at his clubhouse as he was waiting for something to arrive. When it arrived, he left me in the room with like 10 people that I did not know for like 15 minutes lah! I looked like some idiot... They were also from a different club, and they were talking about some club activity. Also cannot join in the conversation right?

Told you guys that I am shy when I don't know the person/people... Still don't believe...

Didn't leave school until like 5:30pm.

Alright. I gotta work on my Introduction letter now before it's too late.

P.S. Ugh! I did it again... - Don't think dirty.

Survivor: China

For those who don't know, I am a HUGE fan of reality shows such as Amazing race, America's Next Top Model, and tons of others. So how can I not love the mother of all reality shows - Survivor: China. Which is already the 15th season of survivor. On the 13th season of survivor, there were 20 people, and on the 14th, there were 19 (Because someone quit at the very last minute). Why is there only 16 people this season?

Not enough budget for air tickets to China ah?

Here's the 16 castaways divided into 2 groups. Fei Long (Top half of the picture), and Zhan Hu (Bottom half of the picture). (It's so weird listening to these people pronouncing their tribe names)

Fei Long - Aaron, Amanda, Courtney, Denise, James, Jean-Robert, Leslie, Todd
Zhan Hu - Ashley, Chicken, Eric, Dave, Frosti, Jaime, Peih-Gee, Sherea

So this season, a WWE Diva -Ashley, is one of the 16 castaways on Survivor: China. It'll be interesting to see how things work out for her. Even though she practically screws up (botches) every move when she's wrestling - earning her the nickname of botchley, she has been trained to tolerate the bumps and bruises at least to a certain extent. So she's my current favorite.

During the challenge, both teams were practically neck to neck but when it switched to the mental game, Zhanhu seemed like they were just standing there watching the Fei Long fly to victory.

Just based on the first episode, I can't stand 2 people already. Courtney and Chicken. (I have a feeling I won't like Dave, and Jean-Robert too, but I'll decided after the next episode)

What Courtney did to annoy me...
- Before the game started, they went through a ceremony where they had to bow several times. Throughout the whole thing, Courtney was rolling her eyes as if she was too good for it. She even stated: "I’m not trying to be a monk here. I’m tired; I want to go sit back with a lemonade, I don’t wanna be like bowing 37 times. We bowed for like days, I swear to God."

If you think that bowing 37 times makes you tired, then you are in for one hell of a ride then. The game has not even started and you think bowing 37 times makes you tired even when you were well nourished? You think survivor is a 39 day spa treatment is it?

She also stated: "I seemed to be marooned in a land of flight attendants and Sunday school teachers. This is like my own private hell."

Hell got that nice meh?

What Chicken did to annoy me...
- It takes a darn lot of effort to understand whatever that comes out of his mouth because of his accent. But thats alright, I won't dislike you just because of that. I'm not that shallow. HAHAHA. Anyways, this guy claims to "live in the woods" and therefore has alot of experience in building a shelter. He voiced his opinions at the early stages of the game, but I guess was ignored because the rest were busy interacting with one another, or maybe the rest also couldn't understand him and therefore pretended to not hear him.

He then stated "I got a lot of experience over these characters. I was just giving my opinion and nobody wanted it so you know, I’m done suggesting." Later when people were asking him of opinions of how to build a shelter, he kept saying It's up to you, and never voiced any opinions. How helpful is "Up to you"? Live up to your nickname! A Chicken's dock-a-doodle-doo may be more helpful as it might mean that the sun is rising soon!

If you're not going to help, you're not helping the tribe. Therefore, your services are no longer needed. When he was voted off the tribe he yelled "DAMN" really loudly that it shocked like the 2 women in front of him. It was hilarious! Chill chicken! Go lay an egg or something...

Good riddance...

I just watched an episode of Hey! Gorgeous and those people look totally different in person and in their pictures that were submitted online. Anywayz, it seems like they will be going down to Singapore Poly this friday on the 28th of September...

Gotta go down to school on Wednesday at 3:15 pm for some pre-internship briefing at MLT 12. The train of reality is about to hit me real soon. Hopefully I won't crumble to pieces.

Hoping for the best, Expecting the worst.

When everything seems to be going well, Life always finds a way to set that back. Just like a couple of days ago. But lets not talk about that.

I found out where i'm attached to for my ITP. I've been attached to this company called TNT Express Pte Ltd. It has a staff strength of like 400 people (I don't know if this is good or bad...) and it stated that I will be working on "TNT-based web page, Internet, and Web Page Design" based on the "Additional Info on the work you do" posted at school. (Thanks Shwa Juan!)

So with this, it comes with good and bad news... So lets just start off with the good...

The good news is that its pretty close to my house. No more traveling to dover back and forth 5 times a week. Although I don't exactly know where this company is, or how i'd get there, I'm pretty sure it'll be faster than me heading to dover.

The bad news is that... I'M WORKING THERE BY MYSELF! No one else is attached to this company at all! I will be going there and working by myself for like the next 4 months... Those who know me knows that I HATE having lunch by myself. Hopefully this won't be the case for like 4 months. I don't wanna be the loser that has lunch by himself everyday.

Can you imagine me eating the lunch that I brought from home sitting in the corner and eating by myself? Gosh... Hopefully it'll be nothing like that. It feels like i'm going to high school all over again or smth. Haha.

There's nothing else right now that I can do besides hoping for the best, and expecting the worst.

Ok fine, maybe there are certain things to do like learn HTML again (Although my lecturer didn't really teach me HTML the first time round). But it's the HOLIDAYS leh!

Low Again

Remember when I was at my ultimate low a month ago? I managed to climb out of it with a little help from Melissa of course. But how fast does it take to fall back down into that dark empty hole? It took me practically 2 minutes to fall back in.

There are things that I wish I never knew. The saying of "The Less You Know, The Better" is SO true in my circumstance. The worst of it all is that I can't even talk about it. I have to climb out of this hole all by myself. I just need to know that someone's there when i'm out of the hole. I need to know that people would be there for me.

I tried to sleep yesterday, but laid in bed with my eyes WIDE open for about 40 minutes. Throughout the last 10 minutes, I realised that I was trembling also. But I don't know why.

I wish there were certain things that I could permanently erase off my mind.

I wish I could choose what I want to remember.

I wish all that was just a dream.

Red Hot Forearms... With tons of pictures...

So I went to Sentosa today. I managed to wake up at 8 in the morning even though I slept at like 3:30am the day before. I woke up that early because we were supposed to meet at 10 at Harbourfront at 10am. I arrived at 10:03am, and I was the earliest... Went to the hawker center for breakfast and took the Monorail from Vivo to Sentosa. Chong Jun (CJ) had bad luck with the Monorail stations. The card(s) that he would scan would always screw up. The rest of us had no problems whatsoever. When we arrived at the beach, the sun was beaming... Because the sun was so glaring, Candy decided to get a pair of shades... She found a perfectly matching pair of shades at a store nearby, and decided to buy it....

Just Kidding... She didn't buy it. Anywayz, Yong Sheng (YS) didn't arrive until 1 and here's a picture of the 6 of us (From left to right - Yong Sheng, Candy, Daniel, Chong Jun, Me, Kevin) waiting for the tram.

They decided to play Frisbee by the beach, and its a bad idea if you don't want to get wet. Unless you're experts of course. So The Frisbee flew into the water, and I was the lucky one that went to retrieve it. So I was wet. Since I was wet, it wasn't fair that the others remained dry. So we played a game where the loser will have to take 2 steps towards the water. As usual, Yong Sheng tries his best to win. Here's a picture of him trying to fight the inevitable.

Yong Sheng always tries to win, but he always loses. He claims that he's good in Daytona, but lost by a considerable amount when we played. (But he also has his "tyco" times). Haha. Daniel wins and manages to stay dry. For an extra 10 minutes. So finally the 5 of us is wet, so we decided to take a picture in the water...

Seems like Daniel caught a cold. Learn from me, wear a shirt... Haha. Eh, the picture is actually a very nice picture you know... Why did you have to ruin it??? lol...

While trying to set the timer on the camera, a lady walked up to us and asked if we would like her to take a picture for us. We didn't even ask... So nice lah!

We asked her a couple of questions and we found out that she's from San Francisco, California, USA. I asked her why she would be at Sentosa when there's like beautiful beaches in California. like how can Sentosa be better than say... Venice Beach in the L.A.??? She said the beaches there are dirty... And i'm thinking to myself: "If Venice beach is dirty, then Sentosa has to be considered toxic." So after 3-4 hours of the water, sand and sun, we decided to head to someplace cooler. Skiing would be a good idea...

Yes, those seats will bring you up to the mountain so that you can ski in the snow at the top. Ok fine, it's actually for a Luge ride. or as Candy calls it: "zoom zoom".

Here's a picture of our Luge ride tickets. Only 5 of us went because the other was too scared. Jk... lol.

It was pretty fun because I was going down the hill at a pretty fast pace. It pays to be fat! Guess who got last place? Yong Sheng. Haha. His losing streak continues once more. We decided to head to the Underwater World after the Luge ride...

Why trouble yourself in trying to find a sea turtle when you're snorkling? You can see many of them at the Underwater World. The best part of it all is that you don't even have to pay a cent for it as it's situated outside of the Underwater World.

Here's a picture of us outside of the Underwater World. Wait... Something seems to be missing...
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Oh... Me.

When we were inside, we got a little hungry. We decided to go for a buffet situated inside the Underwater World. What did the buffet have? Crabs...

Jk. That was actually the stairs down to the crabs section. I'm still trying to picture how good they would taste if they had black pepper or chille sauce all over them...

So we took the travelator and this shark is scary looking. Look at those teeth! I think that's like the worst thing that can happen to any snorkler or diver.

Then again... Maybe not.

Here's a couple more of pictures that we took in the Underwater World. $20 leh, must take as much pictures as possible! Haha.

I think Daniel just saw his reflection... Don't pay any attention to him. This is normal behavior by Daniel. Lol. (Candy - Your "Sexy Lips" is in the picture on the left...)

When they're not admiring their own faces, they try disfigure people by kicking them as hard as possible.

Featured: Singapore Next Top Model: Candy. A Finalist of the Singapore version of America's Next Top Model, Candy hopes to win the hearts of all fans by showing that she cares about marine life. Please call 1900-IWantCandy to keep her in the competition. Lol.

Here's Candy kissing "Sexy Lips" #2. Look how in love they are...

Here's the view of that fish from Candy's angle. No wonder they say love is blind.

There's no need to be afraid of a shark when you have muscles...

Before the picture was taken, Candy said: "Let's make weird faces..." It seems like I was the only one that got the message.

Left Sentosa at like 7-8 and went to Vivo for dinner. We were all so tired and came back home afterwards. What a fun day it was, although it started a little bit slow. Haha. I'm going to sleep now. I'm TIRED!

P.S: The captions are all a joke... Don't get angry alright guys? If you don't want the picture up here, then... Too bad. Haha... jk. Tell me if you want me to remove the pics or change the captions to make it more non-offending...

JB

I went to JB earlier today. Woke up at like 9 which isin't too bad on a normal basis. But its damn tiring to do so when you slept at 4 ok? Anywayz, went to one of the newer malls that has a Justco... Then went to Giant to do grocery shopping. We spent like 300rm lah! My mom's friend - a couple, spent like 400rm... More than the 3 of us. Anywayz, the highlight of the day was definitely the dinner. Had Pepper Crabs, Cereal Prawns, String-ray and some other stuff for dinner. I also had my favorite drink from the fruit drink stall. It was like Apple mixed with a little pear with "suan mei" - think its sour plum in english? Anywayz, while we were at Giant, there's this pet store there that sells animals that some would consider as exotic. They sell scorpions, ducklings, some endangered kind of turtle, and a monkey. Is that even legal? If it is legal, they should change the laws. That monkey looked so terrified and there was a lady with children even shaking the monkey for fun. GROW UP!!! Here's some pictures from that shop.

The monkey tried sleeping in the cage but people kept trying to wake it up. Imagine if people were in that position...

--Flashback--
I just watched Planet of the Apes yesterday. Humans were kept as pets by the apes, used as slaves, and kept in cages. Just like how many inhumane people keep monkeys. I'm surprised they didn't show apes sucking the brains out of humans yesterday. The thought of humans eating the monkey's brain just makes me cringe. I mean C'mon, the monkey is still alive while people are eating it...

Anywayz, if you ever see animals such as monkeys or any more animals that should not be kept as pets, don't buy them... "When the buying stops, the killing will too." Ok, I guess in this situation, it'll be: "When the buying stops, the capturing will too."

Earthquake

So, Pasir Ris felt the tremors of the earthquake that happened in Indonesia. This is the first time that I've felt any tremors of all the earthquakes that has happened. One was felt at like 7:15pm yesterday. Went out, told my mom about it, and she said that she thought it was just because she was giddy... Another one was around 8 this morning. Yes, I was awake for it. Don't ask why because I don't even have an answer to that.

So Sept 11 just passed. It's weird to think that the whole incident happened 6 years ago. I'm thinking and like there's alot of life changing events. There's Sept 11, the Tsunami in 2004, and Hurricane Katrina. Anywayz, some people say that if we were to change our lifestyle because of Sept 11, then it would mean that the terrorists win. I think that this may not be true because people may appreciate what they have more than they originally did.

Results were just released, I got a B, B, and guess what? Another B. lol. My grades have been falling ever since the first semester. Each semester, my semester GPA would be lower then my Cumulative GPA. Which would being my Cumulative GPA down. This is the first time since the last 3 semesters that i manged to pull my GPA up a little bit. So I'm happy for that. I saw something weird in the MRT the other day, but I'm gonna save that for another post.

The best cab ride. Ever.

So on friday, I went over to two of my brother's friends birthday party. Got there at 6 at started helping out with whatever I could. I felt a little out of place though, because I only knew like a handful of the people that were there. When it was time to make drinks, it was so embarrassing. because.... Well, It's just embarrassing. Haha. No elaboration there.

After cutting the cake, people started to leave, and the music started to get louder. Three of the girls started doing a small little fashion show outside by the pool which was really cool. People started watching from all over though. Kay-Po Singaporeans were looking through their windows to see what we were all doing from their houses.

We left the place at like 11 something cuz the security started to chase us out as they only booked the clubhouse till 11. We then headed to Fisherman's Village at Pasir Ris Park where we wanted to eat. When we got there, the chinese food was closed and we were only left with like western food and some other stuff like stingray. (The stingray is really good by the way...)

We then left at like 3 in the morning, and we decided to take a cab home instead of walking back. When we got in the cab, Kelson's friend - Adam asked the cab driver to drive faster. the cab driver asked: "Drive faster ah?" and he said yes. He sped through a U-turn and the tires were screeching. I immediately grabbed for my seatbelt and tried to buckle myself in. After doing so, I just held on to it for dear life. He sped past the neighbourhood and said "We're going straight for the hump ah..."

Soon, he hit the gas as the cab went right into the hump. The back of the cab flew up a little bit. Adam then asked: "Uncle do you race?" He replied yes. He then asked "Do you drift?" He said yes. So the uncle decided to show us his drifting skills as he turned into our neighbourhood. Yes, he drifted - according to Adam and Kelson cuz they were at the back, and I was at the front. He went straight through another hump once again and he started doing sharp turns to my block.

I was laughing throughout the whole ride as I never would expect a cab ride to be like that. It was pretty fun and it was safe as there were no cars around at all.
________________________________

Went to Bedok Blk 85 for dinner yesterday (with Kelson and Adam) which in my opinion has the best food. Had Bar Chor Mee, Oyster Omelette, Sting Ray, Chicken Wings, Sambal Kangkong and Sugarcane Juice. Great Meal. Don't you agree Suraj??? Haha.

Door to Door sales

I decided not to post the entry because people might say its defamation to a certain group of people. Its better to be safe than sorry you know. So i'd just talk about tennis or whatever... lol...

For tennis fans... You should know that the US Open is currently on. The men and women have all been eliminated until there's 4 remaining. Thats right. they're in the Semi-Finals. in the men's draw, Andy Roddick was dismissed by Roger Federrer in the Quater-Finals. Have I ever told you how sick I am of Roger Federrer winning? That man has just gotta lose! lol. This is why i'm supporting Novak Djokovic. He beat Federer just recently at the Finals of some other tournament.

For the womens, Its Henin vs Venus Williams. Go Venus! This is the top half of the draw. The bottom half was really boring for me with only Maria Sharapova being the only interesting name for me. But after her exit like in the 2nd round, I stopped watching the bottom half of the draw. So, I hope the Men's Winner will be Novak Djokovic, and Venus Williams for the Women's.

Wednesday, September 05, 2007

It's been a while...

So not much has been going on lately. I've been sleeping at like 5 in the morning on most nights because I've been staying up to watch the US Open matches. Go Novak Djokovic, Andy Roddick, Serena Williams, and Venus Williams!!!

Anyways, I went over to a chalet yesterday. It wasn't some friends chalet, but it was my mom's friend's chalet. They met when they were working in the US when they were both posted to the there. Their kids are of the same age as us, and there's also a younger brother who's now in primary 3.

I haven't seen them in a really long time, maybe like a year and a half, and I thought that seeing each other might be weird. It turns out, it wasn't weird at all. We started talking and talking, and I didn't leave the place until 6 in the morning. It's nice to be able to talk to someone that can really relate to me because we were both in the US at the same times. 1995-1997, and 2001-2004. Or something like that.

We talked about childhood memories that we had in the US, and other Singaporean kids that we were friends with. Its just really weird that we both lead our own lives, and when we meet, we kinda catch up for all the lost times. I never would've predicted that we'd still see each other or even talk to each other 10 years ago.

It's Nice.

Night Safari...

So the rain did stop. I met Suraj and Hazel at Chua Chu Kang at 6. I was late for like 10 mins. But what do you expect? Pasir Ris >> Jurong East >> Chua Chu Kang... It was like over an hour. Longer than it takes for me to get to school. We had dinner there and had KFC. It was my first meal of the day even though i woke up at like 9 in the morning cuz my god-bro was supposed to come and take a look at my problematic wireless.

So we eventually entered the Night safari at like 8pm. We went straight for the animal show, but its very predictable. Its the usual stuff, like otters recycling wastes, or "missing" an animal which would turn out to be a giant snake. I've heard some people say that you can't really see the animals at the Night Safari, but that is SO not true. We saw almost all except for like maybe 5 animals. I had a great time. Ya ya, I know... You're probably gonna say that I was a HUGE lamp-post. But hey, at least i was a good one (I think... Lol...). Dim enough so that I wouldn't be too obvious. Anywayz, we took a couple of pictures, and some turned out to be really nice. There's one that gives me the creeps when i look at it though.

Because you can't have flash when taking a picture, i was testing out the camera after changing a few settings so its better for the night mode. While we were walking to the amphitheater for the animal show, I wanted to test the camera to see if there's any flash. So I took a photo (shown below). Only after looking through the pictures after I got home then did I realize that there was a face there. Freaky?

Do you see it? No its not the person on the far left. Thank You Very Much... If you haven't, I've circled it below...

Here's a zoomed in version of the photo:

I'm not sure if that freaks you out, but it does for me. For those that don't know me, those kinda stuff are my worst fear. But lets not talk about it now. Anywayz, There are several other pictures that we took. They're shown below...

Believe it or not, this picture of the Mandai Resovoir was taken around 8-9 pm.

For those that haven't been to the Night Safari, There are certain animals that they allow to roam free like the deers. You'll usually see them when you're on the tram ride. Anyways, We forgot to tell Hazel that the zebra was actually a fake, and not just roaming around the park. She only realized it afterwards. Lol... Jk...

Left the park at like 12 midnight exactly. We used our time well. We caught the last tram right after we finished walking the whole park. It was definitely fun!

Went to play Tennis yesterday after what? 2 months? Both stamina and skill has dropped. Expectedly.

Tried to cook Aglio Olio today. It was alright, but it wasn't spicy enough, and it wasn't salty enough. The frying pan would spit out some of the salt that i threw in, cuz it was wet. I know. Dumb move. But it was pretty successful considering its my first attempt at cooking anything. Besides Maggie Mee, or Cup Noodles, or Frying an Egg.
